RENTALS AVAILABLE:

We currently have no rentals available.

All of our homes are passive solar and energy efficient. Our production  homes have received a from-plans E-star energy rating of 85 -- considerably above the Colorado State Energy Code rating of 72. As a matter of fact, the Certified Rater that prepared the analysis for us said that it was one of the highest scores he's ever seen.

In addition to building super energy efficient homes, our production built homes are constructed with at least 80% of the lumber coming from sustainably harvested forests. All of our sustainably harvested lumber is either third party certified or produced locally by community members.

Most all of the custom built homes are and will be constructed using alternative technologies such as straw clay and strawbale. Most of them will also use sustainably harvested lumber.

Heartwood Cohousing also has a combination of townhomes (10) and single family detached homes (14). The townhomes are configured only two per building (duplex). The townhomes are located on the west wing and all but five of the single family detached homes are located on the north wing.

Many of the homes built have finished basements. The basements have been designed to allow for quality living space with high ceilings, extra large windows, roughed in plumbing, and high quality moisture protection.
