What is Heartwood Farms?
Heartwood Farms is an organic food producing co-operative which is made up of Heartwood Cohousing members and leases pastureland from Heartwood Cohousing, but which is a separate entity. The purpose of Heartwood Farms is to raise nutritious, local, organic food for Heartwood Cohousing members and the larger community. It is managed by Bevan Williams, a Heartwood resident and gardening guru. Most of the work is done by interns who live at Heartwood on a seasonal basis.
