HEARTWOOD COHOUSING - WHO WE ARE
We are a rural cohousing community made up of people of all ages and from all walks of life. Most of our current families moved here in 2000 as part of our first phase of 24 homes. Our second (and last) phase of 10 lots will be ready for sale in 2010.
We each own our own home and yard and pursue our own interests and livelihood while sharing this beautiful piece of land, a common house, greenhouse, workshop, gardens, and numerous other resources. And most importantly, we share a vision to live in close community with one another.
We are in close relationship with each other and maintain a high standard of interpersonal connection, which are supported by our Interpersonal Agreements. While we don’t always live up to these high ideals, we have all agreed to try and for the most part we do.
