A Unique Chance to Join a Thriving Community, and Also be a Founding Member
Do you ever dream to live in a close-knit community in harmony with nature? Do you dream to work remotely in the gorgeous Rocky Mountain West? Do you dream to live where your kids can run free in a pedestrian-first neighborhood surrounded by nature, where they can easily spend more time playing outdoors than on a screen? Could the setting of your dream be on 360 acres of ponderosa pine, piñon pine, and juniper forest, rolling hills, meadows, and pastureland? Could it be located in Southwest Colorado, where the sun shines more than 300 days each year and where the San Juan Mountains and red rock canyons of the Colorado Plateau are close enough for a day hike?
Do you dream of sharing resources (greenhouse, gardens, workshop, 7 miles of trails, pasture, barns, sledding hill, tennis and pickleball and basketball court, common house, hot tub, exercise room, meditation yurt, kids' play structure, etc, etc, etc) and activities (community meals, knitting circle, raising chickens, kid parties, all-age parties, fire circle, book club, gardening, animal husbandry, fermentation, woodworking, etc, etc, etc) – all without having to get in your car?
If you share any of these dreams, Heartwood Phase 2 might be for you. You could be one of the Phase 2 founders, meaning that you could be part of the visioning and planning. Because Heartwood is an established and thriving community, you wouldn't have the high risk associated with starting a brand new community from scratch. Heartwood Phase 2 is the best of both worlds: being a founding member of a new community and joining an already successful community.

Time is Running Out to Make Options & Upgrades Choices
We are currently building Phase 2. In July 2025 we began construction on 14 new homes, bringing the total size of our community to 38 homes. So far 6 of the 14 Phase 2 homes have been spoken for. We will build 9 of the Ponderosa model and 5 of the Juniper model. To learn about these two home models, visit our Phase 2 Homes webpage. To see which lots are still available (and which home models are on those lots), visit our Phase 2 Homebuyer Commitment webpage.
Because construction is underway, very soon we'll need to decide which options and upgrades each home will receive. Certain home features will have an optional upgrade available, such as the window package, cabinet package, wood interior doors, wood paneled ceilings, flooring, etc. The builder needs to know these selections so he can place orders and have the materials arrive on time. If you have been considering moving into Phase 2, now is the time to act so you you won't miss out on being able to choose your home's options and upgrades.
The sooner you become a committed Phase 2 Homebuyer, the more choices you will have. There will be more lots available to choose from. There will be more carports to choose from. You will be able to select your home's options and upgrades.
Current committed Phase 2 Homebuyers have already selected their models and lots. If you are the next household to commit to being a Phase 2 Homebuyer, you will be the next one to choose your home and lot from those still available. Maybe the most important reason to get off the sideline and into the game is because we are building only 14 more homes. Once all 14 spots are taken, the opportunity window closes. See our Phase 2 Homebuyer Commitment webpage for details.
