Aspen
The Aspen has the most spacious main floor featuring our largest great room at 35' long, largest kitchen, largest front entry, largest owner bedroom on the main floor, and vaulted ceilings throughout, making it a more deluxe home. With all this space on the main level, no second story, and an elevator-ready design to the basement, it would also be a great home for aging in place. The layout of the entry and stairs and spacious basement mean that it has good basement ADU potential. (See Phase 2 FAQ for definition of ADU.) |

The artist renderings shown below were created in February 2024. We have made some very minor revisions to our designs since then so the renderings are not 100% accurate in every detail. The Builder Set download at the bottom of this webpage, however, shows the most up to date version of the Aspen model. Please see our Home Design Caveats webpage.

Like all of our Phase 2 homes, the Aspen includes a large front porch for socializing (8' x 20'), featuring a vaulted ceiling with a beam truss for a spacious and rustic feel, plus an outdoor storage closet. Large windows on the south wall let in warm winter sun. The roof overhang keeps out the summer sun.
The Aspen has our most spacious main floor featuring our the largest great room at 35' long, largest kitchen, largest front entry, and largest owner bedroom on the main floor. The main level has many great features that make the Aspen highly functional and comfortable. Shelves and a mudroom at the front entry provide ample storage. There's an additional pantry in the kitchen, on the left as you enter the home and a half bath off the entry. A side window by the front door provides extra natural daylight and visual connection to the community. The large kitchen is laid out for efficiency with a small work triangle, 42" upper cabinets for extra storage, and an extra large raised bar counter and sitting bar for seating and serving flexibility. The raised bar counter also creates some visual separation between the dining room and kitchen clutter. The large owners bedroom is big enough for a king bed and has a huge walk-in closet. If you decide someday that you'd like an elevator to the basement, it would be installed in the upper right corner of the walk-in closet and would be accessed from the dining room. Sliding glass doors give access from the dining room to your private back patio and backyard.
The Aspen comes with a standard full unfinished basement for storage or future renovation. If you opt for the finished basement, you get two more bedrooms, a bathroom, and a family room. Optional expanded window wells let in ample natural daylighting. The basement includes large bedroom closets plus four extra storage closets, one of which is a huge walk-in closet. The laundry room also has extra storage space. This artist rendering shows a large family room, but that space could be finished with a kitchen and dining room making for a spacious basement ADU.
View from the living room, through the dining room, and into the kitchen and front entry. The huge great room and vaulted ceilings throughout create a spacious feel. The shelves set into the far end of the red wall are the location of a possible future elevator to the basement. The tall red wall is great for displaying art. Large south facing windows bring in plenty of natural daylight. The large kitchen window over the sink provides visual connection to the community.
