Piñon
A compact 3 story design make the Piñon our best value small home. It's based on one of our favorite Phase 1 models, 
but feedback from
current Phase 1 homeowners have led to several key improvements, including a larger, more functional front entry with an added mudroom. With two bedrooms upstairs and room for two more in the basement, the Piñon offers great flexibility in a small home, perfect for a family or a couple working remotely in need of office space.

​​​Caveats
The artist renderings shown below were created in February 2024. We have made some very minor revisions to our designs since then so the renderings are not 100% accurate in every detail. The Builder Set download at the bottom of this webpage, however, shows the most up to date version of the Piñon model. 

As we get closer to breaking ground and completing our home design work, only the Juniper, Aspen, and Ponderosa have been selected by our current 
Phase 2 Homebuyers. That means that we are not sure whether we will build the Piñon model. If you are most interested in that model and are seriously considering committing to being a Phase 2 Homebuyer, reach out to Mac (nine-seven-zero-970-9751) to discuss the possibility.

Like all of our Phase 2 homes, the Piñon includes a large front porch for socializing, featuring a vaulted ceiling with a beam truss for a spacious and rustic feel. Large windows on the south wall let in warm winter sun. Strategically placed overhangs keep out the summer sun.

The back patio is set into a notch creating extra privacy and a cozy feel. Many Phase 1 homeowners have built roofs or shade structures over their back patios to keep them cooler in the summer. With our very sunny Colorado climate, you can create lovely outdoor living space at minimal cost. The Piñon is well suited for that.

The main level has many great features that make the Piñon highly functional and comfortable. Shelves and a mudroom at the front entry provide ample storage. The kitchen is laid out for efficiency with a small work triangle, 42" upper cabinets for extra storage, and a raised bar counter for seating and serving flexibility. The raised bar counter also creates some visual separation between the dining room and kitchen clutter. The living room is offset providing extra privacy while at the same time maintaining visual connection with the kitchen. Sliding glass doors give access from the dining room to your private back patio and backyard.

The upper level has a large owner bedroom with a walk-in closet, extra shelving, room for a king bed, and direct access via a pocket door to the bathroom. The second bedroom to the rear could make a nice office. Both bedrooms have windows on two walls allowing refreshing cross ventilation on cool summer evenings. The large, two compartment bathroom is comfortable and practical for multiple people. There's an extra storage closet at the top of the stairs. The entire upper level is vaulted, giving it an open and spacious feeling.

The Piñon comes with a standard full unfinished basement for storage or future renovation. If you opt for the finished basement, you get two more bedrooms and a bathroom. Optional expanded window wells let in ample natural daylighting. The basement includes large bedroom closets plus two extra storage closets and a laundry room.
