Steering Team Transition

Picture
Finance Team
Revised 03/20/21

Because of various legal and financial requirements, the Nominating Task Force and the new Steering team should follow these procedures when transitioning to a new Steering team.

Nominating Task Force
Please include the following in the proposal for the new Steering team slate:
  • The FULL legal name of each person in the proposed slate.
  • The FULL legal name of the person proposed for the Treasurer role.
  • "The Steering Team with the Treasurer, is to be the Board of Directors of the Heartwood Ranch HOA, for the next one year term starting on __________.” Fill in the blank with a date a few weeks after the proposal will pass.

New Steering Team
Check Signers
  • In the FIRST meeting of the new Steering team, choose two check signers for this term. Document their FULL legal names in the meeting minutes and post to the HOA chat.
  • ASAP and before checks are signed, the new check signers need to get setup at our bank, Community Banks of Colorado. This involves calling or emailing the bank, letting them know that we need to change our HOA check signers, and they will walk you through the process.
